Mississippi Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center offers a comprehensive and unique Residential Treatment experience. We have a wide range of traditional programs and holistic healing services that are geared toward patient-centered substance abuse treatment. Learn more about residential treatment and why it may be the best option for you.
What is Residential Treatment?
Residential treatment is often referred to as inpatient rehab. It offers safe, stable inpatient care to begin your journey toward recovery. We provide structure and supervision while removing individuals with substance use disorders from toxic or unsupportive environments. This allows those in treatment to focus on their recovery in a space that’s monitored by medical and mental health professionals around the clock.
How Long is Inpatient Rehab?
With this option, you’ll stay in our comfortable, homelike facility for approximately 30-90 days. After your initial treatment ends, you and your treatment team will determine the additional services you may need. These services may include outpatient treatment or individual therapy.
Benefits of Residential Rehab
We often lose focus when we’re dealing with life’s daily stressors. When you add drug or alcohol addiction to the mix, life becomes much more challenging. Choosing care in a residential treatment program allows you to have the peace of mind, individual attention, and support you need. This also enables you to learn new coping techniques and life skills without distraction.
Staying at Our Residential Treatment Center Gives You:
- Medical support to ease the pain and discomfort of withdrawal
- 24/7 medical and mental health supervision
- Nutritional support to get your mind and body healthy again
- Treatment for co-occurring mental health and medical issues
- Individual and group therapy
- Family counseling
- Exercise and recreation
- Structure while you learn new habits and ways of living
- Built-in community and peer support
Who is a Candidate for Our Residential Treatment Program?
Anyone who’s serious about quitting drugs and alcohol for good is a candidate for inpatient care. However, if you or a family member meets any of the following criteria, residential treatment for drugs and alcohol is your best hope for lasting recovery and relapse prevention. This is also the best solution if you just finished with a medical detox program.
Consider inpatient care if you have:
- Severe addiction
- Long-term substance abuse
- Multiple addictions
- Previous stays in rehab or are in relapse
- Past trauma
- Concurrent mental health disorders
- Unstable home environment
Does Insurance Cover Inpatient Rehab?
Under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), substance abuse treatment is mandated as a mental health services option. The type of care and duration depends upon your individual health insurance plan. In most cases, this includes residential treatment as well as medical maintenance, detox, and mental health counseling.
Mississippi Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center accepts most major commercial insurance plans. For those who are uninsured, we offer flexible, affordable cash payment options as well. Your Admissions Coordinator will go over your financing or insurance options with you during the intake process. You may also check with your individual insurer prior to contacting our facility to double-check about coverage limitations or eligibility.
What to Expect During Your Stay
We are a small intimate addiction treatment center. Our residential rehab provides you with personalized care in a relaxing atmosphere. We provide all of the comforts of home in a peaceful setting. The relaxing environment is coupled with high-quality care from our highly trained and credentialed staff.
Your experience may begin with medical detox using approved drugs and treatment methods. Detox will help alleviate uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms from alcohol or other substances. During this time, we’ll also diagnose and arrange treatment for any health problems associated with your addiction.
After the detox phase, you’ll meet with your care coordinator to discuss the path forward. This phase includes additional assessments and continued development of your treatment plan.
Days begin with a healthy breakfast, and then our residents will engage in recreation, group therapy sessions, individual counseling, or life skills classes as indicated by their treatment plan. We also offer mid-day meals, dinner, and nutritious snacks, and your stay is all-inclusive.
Our goal is to heal the whole person in mind and body. We do this by addressing underlying issues of substance use disorder. Your schedule will depend upon the type of addiction, such as alcohol or a combination of drugs and alcohol, and any other issues that are feeding the addictive behavior.
For example, recovery may include additional care if you are dealing with depression or a chronic psychiatric condition like bipolar disorder. Individuals with a long family history of drug or alcohol abuse and those in codependent relationships will have different issues to overcome. People in rehab who are homeless and/or unemployed will need support to overcome those conditions. Your counselor will even help you learn to identify and neutralize triggers that lead to drug or alcohol use.
